They've been made by an anonymous character known as TrustoCorp -- the sign in Chinatown is still there (at least as of earlier this week) so I'm not sure why the one on 24th & Lex is gone-- i think there's a hunt for who this person is (probably much like Bansky a few years ago!). let me know if you materialize anything!

And YES, i LOVE seeing someone's tag more than once -- there's another tagger in the hood that i've been following...i'll post pictures soon. and lord, kenmare is such hot street now, hahah, wtf! even with all the scaffolding!

big kiss!xx

In response to the photo of the "welcome to hell" sign, there have been a number of random signs as such scattered around this concrete jungle. There was one on 24th and lex (SW corner) that said "it's okay to play with yourself" with a fun-looking monkey. Where are these from? and why are they only up for a few days? (i suppose the fun-ness of it all would be limited if these signs were permanently placed).

In response to the "WOMP": don't you secretly love when you see a "tag" or "skraffitos" more than once in a day, on random buildings, scaffoldings, USPS trucks, etc. (and also, is that scaffolding on kenmare going to be there forever?!)

Chris,
May I borrow your hammer? It is obvious that it is capable of hitting the nail with precision.

This sentence is amazing:
Overload is no longer an extreme but rather a desired homeostasis.

Definitive analysis of twentyten pop culture

Thanks for sharing Cap'n!
